Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, the self-proclaimed spokesman for the Islamic State, was killed in Syria.
The extremist group Islamic State today announces the death of his spokesman in Syria, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, in the province of Aleppo, in the north during the fighting.
Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, of Syrian nationality, was a member of the extremist group that urged its supporters to use guns, knives, stones or vehicles against citizens of countries that fight the Islamic State, inspiring attacks in Europe.
“After a long journey crowned sacrifices, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani joined the martyrs and heroes who defended Islam and fought against the enemies of God,” said a message transmitted by Amaq advertising agency.
The province of Aleppo is the scene of fierce fighting between different actors in the war in Syria.
